Reaching Aringa

Through a growing partnership in Yumbe, Reaching Frontiers has joined hands with local believers to strengthen Gospel witness among the Aringa—a predominantly Muslim people group with limited access to Bible resources and Christian training.

Earlier in the year, the Lord opened a remarkable door. Together with our Church partner, we hosted a pastors and leaders training, equipping over 25 local leaders with tools for biblical teaching, discipleship, and evangelism. For many,  this training was an encouragement in such a persecuted community. One pastor shared, “We have long prayed for this.”

But God was not done.

As the training concluded, believers mobilized for community evangelism, moving in small groups from home to home, boldly sharing the Gospel of Christ with their neighbors. To support this work, our ministry partnered to offer an evangelism speaker—a solar-powered unit that allowed the church to project worship, sermons, and evangelistic messages in the heart language of the people.

Even more powerful was the distribution of Aringa Audio Bibles, placed directly into the hands of families, elders, and young people. In a community where literacy is limited, the Word of God is now heard. One woman, who received an Audio Bible, once a witch doctor held it to her heart and said, “Now I can listen to God even when I am alone.”

The testimonies have been many. Lives are being changed. Communities are asking questions. The Church is growing in confidence. And God continues to reach deeper into Aringa villages—opening hearts, drawing seekers, and glorifying Himself through the faithful witness of His church partners

The partnership with Churches is a testimony of what happens when the global and local church work together in unity for the sake of Christ’s name among the nations.

As Isaiah 55:11 declares, “So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

Indeed, the Word is going forth in Yumbe, and the Aringa are hearing.
