Building the Church - Nataparakwangan

In Nataparakwangan, the need for a permanent space for worship and discipleship is urgent. Through this project, we aim to build a church and Sunday school center—providing a spiritual home for believers and children, and strengthening the presence of the gospel in this growing but underserved community.

Let's build the Church together

Nataparakwangan is a vibrant yet underserved community in Karamoja where the gospel has taken root through the faithful witness of indigenous local gospel partners Susan and Peter serving under Moroto Baptist Church. Though believers have gathered under trees in the past and in makeshift shelters, the lack of a structure continues to hinder consistent worship, teaching, and community engagement.

The Church and Sunday School Construction Project is a step of faith and vision to provide a safe, welcoming space for worship, discipleship, and gospel-centered community life. A temporary church building will not only offer shelter from harsh weather but also serve as a center for spiritual formation, Sunday school gatherings, pastoral training, and outreach to the surrounding villages.

Children in the area are eager to learn, and a dedicated Sunday school space will ensure they are nurtured in Scripture, loved in community, and discipled from a young age. For many, it will be their first opportunity to hear and engage with the Word of God in a space built for them.

The impact of such a space extends beyond the walls. It affirms the community’s value, strengthens local leadership, and becomes a lasting witness of Christ’s presence. The church will also host community meetings, youth outreach, and serve as a hub for humanitarian programs like food distribution and trauma counseling.

With your partnership, we can make this vision a reality. Every contribution—brick by brick—builds not just a structure but a foundation for a Gospel community.
