Program Overview
At Reaching Frontiers, the Missions Apprenticeship Program (MAP) was prayerfully developed in collaboration with local churches, mission leaders, experienced field workers, and theological educators to bring together the most practical and biblically grounded missions resources in one accessible, global platform. Designed especially for those sensing a call to cross-cultural ministry, the online modules offer the same depth and intentionality as our in-person training experiences—adapted for a flexible, real-world learning environment.
This training program is built around distance learning and adult discipleship principles, allowing each participant to deeply engage with the content while reflecting on how God is shaping them for a missionary lifestyle. Through guided journaling, contextual assignments, and relational mentoring, participants are given the space to prayerfully wrestle with key truths and skills essential for serving among the least reached. Every module is crafted to not only inform but to form—equipping missionaries for faithful and fruitful service from the local church to the ends of the earth.
Flexible pathways for your calling
MAP offers a flexible approach to learning. Some participants may prefer a self-paced study journey with minimal oversight. Others benefit from structured accountability and are assigned a tutor who engages them through monthly check-ins, email follow-ups, and one-on-one or group Zoom calls for mentorship and growth. For churches or sending ministries looking to train multiple members together, MAP offers the option to form a cohort. Cohorts study together, receive enhanced tutor support, and are required to stay rooted in a Bible-believing, mission-oriented local church for accountability and community integration.

Learn at Your Own Pace
Each module includes around 20 hours of learning: Bible readings, video content, journal reflections, group discussions, reading assignments, and written responses. All work is submitted through the Missiogo Learning Platform, which also hosts tools like a journaling space, prayer bulletins, devotion tracking, and Bible note-taking.
- Part-time participants can complete a module every 4–6 weeks and the full program in about two years.
- Full-time learners may complete the entire program in 8–12 months, depending on their rhythm and availability.
