KAMP Karamoja Missionary Partnership

KAMP

KAMP is a coalition of missionary organisations who have united to intentionally partner together in mission efforts.  The purpose of the partnership was to consolidate mission efforts so that the local churches and different mission partners could work together more effectively to see the unreached reached, and communities transformed with the gospel of Jesus Christ. As the partner organisations continue to grow, we look forward to the journey of mobilising the African Local Churches for a pro-active Church Mission Movement.

Vision - KAMP

Communities within Karamoja transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ, and biblically faithful, reproducing churches planted. (2 Corinthians 3:18)

Mission - KAMP

Partnering with, and empowering, biblically faithful local churches to raise and mobilise disciples who are disciple makers. This is with the goal of holistically reaching communities in Karamoja and beyond with the Gospel of Christ Jesus.

KAMP sees it’s role primarily as a facilitator or catalyst, and as such desire and work in partnership with local churches, casting vision for mission, equipping, mobilising, and encouraging.  Their heart is for open dialogue with local churches to facilitate identification of ways in which Local Churches can effectively be reached to serve.

What KAMP does . . .

Mobilising and coordinating prayer for the unreached communities of Karamoja

Networking between different denominations and facilitating a forum where ideas and resources can be shared

Equipping/ Training local believers in how to share the gospel and disciple others

Facilitating courses that share God’s heart for mission

Missions Development – Meeting with local church partners to encourage development of specific vision and strategies for reaching unreached communities.

How the Local Churches can engage

Pray

Mobilising the church to pray for the unreached and lost, and about their part in fulfilling Jesus’ Great Commission.

Prepare

Preparing church members to reach out to the unreached and lost. This may be in the form of casting vision, training, researching, or raising resources.

Participate

We expect the local church to go! This means reaching to unreached communities, faithfully sharing the gospel and discipling. It will require investment of resources and time.
